Window Cleaning in Saffron Walden

We clean windows the traditional way — applicator and squeegee, warm soapy water and a careful hand that leaves glass crisp and streak-free, with frames and sills wiped down as standard. For upper-floor windows we work by ladder, reaching up to around three storeys where access allows — ideal for period properties and conservation areas where a proper hand finish on every surface matters.

What's involved

How we approach Window cleaning work

Window cleaning starts with an assessment of the property — how many windows, what height, and whether there are any access considerations. For ground-floor and easily reached windows we clean the traditional way: applicator and squeegee with warm soapy water, finishing each pane by hand so glass, frames and sills come out crisp and streak-free.

For upper-floor and hard-to-reach windows we work by ladder, reaching up to around three storeys where access allows. This means the same careful hand finish — squeegee, applicator, frames and sills wiped down — at every height, not just at ground level. Traditional ladder work is particularly well suited to period properties and conservation areas where a thorough hand clean on every surface matters.

We clean frames and sills as a matter of course — a clean window with a dirty frame just looks wrong. Whatever the height, the result is the same: glass you can see clearly through.

Traditional clean, done by hand

We clean the traditional way — applicator, squeegee and a practised hand — getting glass, frames and sills properly clean with a crisp, streak-free finish every time.

Upper floors by ladder — up to three storeys

For upper-floor windows we work by ladder, up to around three storeys where access allows — so you get the same careful hand finish at height as at ground level.

Questions

Common questions about Window cleaning

How often should windows be cleaned?

For most homes, every 4–8 weeks keeps windows looking their best and prevents the build-up of algae and mineral deposits that become harder to shift over time. We offer 4-weekly, 6-weekly and 8-weekly regular schedules, or a one-off clean if that suits you better.

Do you need access to my water supply or power?

For window and exterior cleaning we bring our own water — no connection needed. The one exception is pressure and jet washing, where we do need to use your outside tap; we'll confirm this when arranging the visit. We don't need a power connection.
